Refund Policy
FIRAT (Foresight Institute of Research and Translation) ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SnapGenius platform. This Refund Policy explains our policies regarding refunds for subscription services and one-time purchases.
1. General Refund Policy
All sales are generally final. However, we understand that circumstances may arise requiring refunds. This policy outlines when refunds may be granted at our sole discretion.
Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
2. Refund Eligibility
2.1 Technical Issues (Full Refund)
Full refunds may be issued if:
- The platform experiences significant technical issues that prevent normal use for more than 48 consecutive hours;
- A critical feature you purchased is completely non-functional and cannot be fixed;
- We are unable to provide the core services described at the time of purchase;
- Request is made within 14 days of purchase for new subscriptions.
Note: Issues must be reported to support@snapgenius.tech within 14 days with detailed description. We will investigate and determine eligibility.
2.2 Annual Subscription Cancellation (Pro-Rata Refund)
For annual subscriptions cancelled mid-term:
- Pro-rata refund calculated based on unused months;
- Current active month is not refundable;
- Processing fee of $25 USD will be deducted;
- Payment processing fees (typically 3-5%) are non-refundable;
- Must be requested before subscription renewal date;
- Account must be in good standing (no violations of Terms of Service).
Example: You purchase an annual plan for $120 on January 1st. You cancel on July 1st. You have used 6 months. Refund calculation: ($120 / 12 months) × 6 unused months = $60, minus $25 processing fee = $35 refund.
2.3 Monthly Subscriptions (No Refund)
Monthly subscriptions are not eligible for refunds:
- You maintain access until the end of the current billing period;
- Cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund current month;
- No pro-rata refunds for partial month usage;
- Exception: First-time subscribers may receive full refund if cancelled within 48 hours of initial purchase (one-time courtesy).
2.4 Code Redemptions (No Refund)
Codes redeemed for premium access or credits are non-refundable:
- Once a code is redeemed, it cannot be reversed;
- Codes cannot be exchanged for cash value;
- Unused code benefits expire according to the code terms;
- Lost or stolen codes cannot be replaced or refunded.
2.5 Add-On Services (Case-by-Case)
One-time purchases or add-on services:
- Evaluated on a case-by-case basis;
- Must be requested within 7 days of purchase;
- Service must not have been substantially used or consumed;
- Processing fees may apply.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- Change of mind: After the initial 14-day period for new subscriptions;
- Lack of use: Not using the service does not qualify for a refund;
- User error: Mistakes in configuration, data loss due to user actions, or misunderstanding of features;
- Feature requests: Missing features that were never advertised or promised;
- Third-party issues: Problems with your internet, browser, or device;
- Terms violations: Accounts suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service;
- Duplicate payments: These will be credited to your account or refunded, but not considered part of this policy;
- Regional restrictions: Service limitations based on your geographic location that were disclosed in our Terms;
- After renewal: Subscriptions that have automatically renewed (you must cancel before renewal to avoid charges).
4. Refund Request Process
To request a refund:
- Email support@snapgenius.tech with subject line "Refund Request";
- Include your account email, invoice/receipt number, and reason for refund request;
- Provide detailed explanation and any supporting evidence (screenshots, error messages, etc.);
- Allow 5-7 business days for review and response;
- If approved, refunds are processed within 10 business days to original payment method.
Important: All refund decisions are final and at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that do not meet our policy criteria or that we suspect are fraudulent or abusive.
5. Chargebacks and Disputes
Before initiating a chargeback, please contact us to resolve the issue:
- Chargebacks cost us significant fees and damage our reputation;
- We are committed to resolving legitimate issues fairly;
- Accounts with chargebacks will be immediately suspended pending investigation;
- Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination and collections action;
- We will contest invalid chargebacks and may pursue legal action to recover losses.
We strongly encourage contacting us first. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
6. Processing Time and Method
- Review time: 5-7 business days after receiving complete information;
- Processing time: 10 business days after approval;
- Method: Refunds issued to original payment method only;
- Currency: Refunds processed in original purchase currency;
- Bank processing: Additional 5-10 days depending on your bank;
- Confirmation: Email confirmation sent when refund is processed.
7. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of SnapGenius after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified policy. Material changes will be announced via email to active subscribers.
